Interested in becoming a health coach?

Read on to learn more about how Kristen got her start at IIN.

I’m often asked how I became an integrative nutritionist.

It’s a long story...but the short version is this:

I wasn’t feeling good for a really long time (think decades)...and when I saw my kids start down the same path I knew enough was enough.

As luck would have it, my husband was playing for the Lakers around that time and they had just hired an amazing Doctor and Clinical Nutritionist (Dr. Cate Shanahan) to work with the players to optimize their nutrition.

Working with Cate ignited a spark inside me. I saw firsthand the power of nutrition to change the way we feel and to control our epigenetics (that’s a fancy way of saying your genes don’t have the final say, the environment you’re in influences the expression of the genes).

I was hooked...and I knew I wanted to learn from the best of the best (enter IIN)...

I began searching for my next steps and I fell in love with the guest faculty at IIN. I knew I needed to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition so I could learn from some of the world’s best doctors including Dr. Mark Hyman, founder of Cleveland Clinic’s Functional Medicine Clinic; Dr. Frank Lipman, founder of Be Well Medical Center; Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University Prevention Research center, and many more.

At IIN I studied practical lifestyle management techniques, innovative coaching methods, over 100 dietary theories, preventative health, Ayurveda, acupuncture, herbal remedies, homeopathy, traditional foods, supplements, and more.

I never intended on starting my own practice.

I just wanted to help my family and myself heal, but it quickly became crystal clear that this was my calling. So i opened the doors to Kristen Blake Wellness and it's been an amazing wild ride ever since.

That brings us to today...

I've since gone on to graduate from Logan University with a Masters In Clinical Nutrition (insert logo here)

I've created multiple patented and trademarked programs, The KB Code, Heal from Within (insert logos and link the images to the landing pages for the programs)

And I've co-authored a book on sports nutrition (include an image of the book and link the image to the amazon link)

But none of this would have been possible without getting my start at IIN.

So what are you waiting for? It's your turn.
